Hubert le Gall and his circus from March 22 to April 21, 2012    

To celebrate the arrival of spring, Hubert le Gall showcases thirty new pieces at the Galerie Avant-Scène. The exhibition theme is the circus.    

After spending almost three years producing majestic scenery and private commissions, Hubert Le Gall returns to the Circus-themed creations. Pieces of furniture, magic mirrors and decorative objects play with each other in a humorous tone to offer a mischievous and poetic reinterpretation of the bestiary dear to the creator. A little rabbit leaps out of a top hat, giving the illusion that a candle pierces his ear, an elegant cobra tries to grow legs by swallowing candles, Pinocchio personally saws his nose to make the spacer of a console, thus concealing his lie... We find ourselves in a circus where the acrobatic animals of Hubert le Gall, imbued with poetry and fantasy compose an unexpected and tender universe. And we wonder where to place the border between sculpture ... and its use. 

Intrigue, surprise, smile and questioning about the limits of creation, without seeming, this is the subject of the exhibition proposed by Hubert le Gall at Galerie Avant-Scène. A monograph devoted to his work will be published at the end of the year ... Tese are as many signs of recognition for this artist revealed by Elisabeth Delacarte.
